HCI | Accessibility | Speech | Machine Learning
I studied Neuroscience, Computer Science at Drake University, and continued on to get my Ph.D in Computer Science at Arizona State University at the Center for Cognitive Ubiquitous Computing focusing on the enhancement of voice disorder speech using machine learning.
I study the intersection of machine learning, human-computer interaction, and accessibility. I am working, more specifically, to help individuals with voice disorders be better understood by building machine learning models that improve the intelligibility of voice disorder speech.
I have completed research internships at the University of California, Berkeley, the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab (formerly RIC), and GoDaddy. I am currently working as a UX Researcher at GoDaddy, connecting the customer's voice to experience design.
